Rachel Shead is the author and illustrator of this AMAZING book. I don’t have diabetes, but man did I get emotional reading her story. You have to get this book. It is written for children with type 1 diabetes. I also think it helps kids who are not affected appreciate and understand what kids living with this disease go through. The message is personal for Rachel and the message needs to be spread. I can only imagine how others living with this disease will relate and be so thankful for Rachel’s way of connecting.
